Before Sunrise V2

Posted in 2014 and reworked after placing in recent VSS CREATIVE virtual camera club monthly. Hein Waschefort had to help me remember that this was my photo (never happened before!). The original annotation is below:

Henry and I nearly canned this morning’s shoot as the weather looked bland – cloudless – a bad mistake (lesson) we have learnt before. We therefore ambled down to Bluff, Durban and soon made pigs of ourselves with some slight pink – orange skies, white water on an incoming high with oodles of passion and energy.

I saw a lovely quote a few minutes ago (thank you Hein and Jeremy; it was on a post you made & commented on).

“You only get one sunrise and one sunset a day, and you only get so many days on the planet. A good photographer does the math and doesn’t waste either.” ~ Galen Rowell

PS: love that saying and reinforces what I said at recent Hillcrest Camera Club talk (09/2015).. you can look at the weather forecast and be unsure / wrong; rather just head out to shoot and if heavy rain stops you so be it
