Lighthouse Stroll

Good morning Durban! Fancy an early morning stroll on the promenade past The Beverly Hills Hotel?
“When you are confronted by tests and trials, remember the wise saying: “Even this will pass away”. It will give you strength to face everything. Surrender to the Lord and draw inspiration from within. Study the lives of saints and eminent men and try to follow their example. You will very soon conquer pessimism” ~ Sri Swami Sivananda

So what did you do with your morning before work today?

Start your weekend before the weekend and maximise your happy time doing something you enjoy.

I took this photo on Thursday morning before work. There were loads of people walking on the promenade and a few fishing or just sitting / walking and contemplating.

All that was needed was for me to pack my camera, breakfast, lunch and work equipment the night before. In the morning I woke up at 05:00 and had a quick shave & shower. I was then off to Umhlanga to take photos.

I left Umhlanga before 08:00 for my work trip up the coast.

“One of the great things about exploring is that sometimes, the discovery lies not in what you’re exploring, but what’s right next to it. Something you never would’ve known had you not explored in the first place. So while something may seem like a waste of time to explore, while the promise
of gain may be slim, it still might be worth it just because you never know” ~ Brian Kim
Whale Bone Pier 2015

I heard about 1.5 days too late that a seal had beached at Umhlanga – The FunShine Coast in front of The Beverly Hills Hotel. I raced down there but Mr Seal had already left on his journey.

Mother Loves Beverly

That’s one thing my mom and I never got to do – High Tea at The Beverly Hills on Mother’s Day coming to you this Sunday (that’s tomorrow!). A lovely venue with well-mannered staff and delectable treats!

Trust me, it might cost a little more but you can eat your money’s worth. Have savoury treats for lunch, rest, drink tea, all different types, listen to the violin, go for a stroll, and when ready…. fill up with all the sweet cakes :).
