We had a comedy of errors / mishaps this morning (Sun 15 Jan 2017) one hour before sunrise.
Shane Newman was missing a section of tripod so I said use mine. As Shane used mine the head broke!
We used Shane’s T-shirt and cap to rest our cameras on rocks and managed to get some shots although mine (attached) is a little fuzzy on the left side.
Neil Hellerle did fine I think as he had taped his tripod together
It looks like two of us are going tripod shopping soon

We went looking for Vusumuzi, a lifeguard at Durban North Beach., but he was not there… no doubt already busy with the Standard Bank Ironman 70.3 Durban – good man!

Nalendren Naik and Malusi Clement Msomi of Dbn Spotter will tell you: YES they do!

In my youth we would often fish on this river (Umgeni River Mouth / Blue Lagoon Durban). We named our locations by the bridges’ numerical order from the sea heading inland – this is 1st bridge just before the mouth.

The theme on the KZN Hub is “M” and I simply had to rework this “old” photo I had of Durban. I have called it “Magnificent Durban” to suit the theme but more importantly because I believe that it truly showcases my home town that I love very much.
Louis En Marie Helberg arranged this shoot for us in the CBD in April 2014.
This is your town! I Love Durban 🙂 with the Indian Ocean in the background.
