A week or two ago we drove around for an hour trying to secure my first lightning shot… it never happened.

Then on Monday night gone by, being the 13th, at around the time of this post I admittedly felt a little edgy standing on the rise under some trees holding an umbrella over my head grabbing a few shots.

It worked out much better for me though.

Canon 6D, bulb mode F18, ISO 100, 49 sec. for base image; blended with 3 others – I decided against straightening the building as it ended up eating up all my lightning bolts.
