Canon 50mm @ F11 – ISO 640 & 1/125 sec (6D body)
The Canon South Africa 50mm F1.8 lens from Orms at R 1, 295.00 is the cheapest lens I know of. I bought one and used it to take the photo below. Some call the lens the Nifty-Fifty, others “Canon’s best kept secret” and I call it “BIG FUN”. The photo below was taken this morning in 5 Star Durban. For the price (cheap), I am totally bowled over by this little monster!
Hi Andy. I’m still using the kit lens 18 – 55mm while I’m learning. Not having used anything else I am sure it will be a big surprise when I do. I am starting to get a little frustrated now when I can’t get close enough to subjects without walking!!! Keep well. James
The walking in and out does work wonders though
Wow… What a beautiful shot…
I just loved the way you have used light and composed it.
I do have this lens and it’s super fast 🙂
So cheap too!
Great photo! I love the detail in the textures. But as a dedicated Nikon user I couldn’t possibly comment on your choice of Canon lens 🙂
