Looking across the Bosphorus at two continents, Istanbul

Istanbul is located in northwest Turkey in the Marmara Region. The Bosphorus, which connects the Sea of Marmara to the Black Sea, divides Istanbul into a European, Thracian side, and an Asian, Anatolian side.
