Anybody remember one of my first HDR posts stating that the view over Durban, Berea and the harbour towards the Bluff, is beautiful and serene?
I was not at all happy with the two photos in that post but vowed not to give up on experimenting with HDR; citing various reasons.
I tried this same shot many more times thereafter but it was only today that I finally cracked a small smile on my face.
The result is not perfect but is certainly better than all previous attempts.
The photo below, taken today of the same view, is dedicated to Timol who supports and endures my photographic & computer editing extremes.
Today alone she sat patiently while I bracketed 63 photos (multiply by 3 = 189) and added a few more for luck at various locations in Durban (a few hours altogether).
The next photo is dedicated to my “newest and big” supporters (Nicki and Larry Smith in the UK) who miss their hometown.
gorgeous photos.. Your work inspired me a while ago to try the HDR setting and I’ve fallen in love with it.. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
Thanks! This is who 1st inspired me: http://sillymonkeyphoto.com/2013/01/04/friday-mystery-photo-34/

Thanks Rexlin. I still need to improve though. Took some more today overlooking Durban – will post later
Thank you Andrew!!! We love this view!x
These are both beautiful images. I’ve only dabble a little into the HDR realm… so I congratulate your persistence! Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog and liking my recent post ‘WOrd of the Week Challenge entry – CLouds; – your support is appreciated! Take care – Stan
